You will much oblige me by returning my best thanks to the Committee of the Royal Society of Musicians for their kind invitation to dine with them on the 13th of May, which I much regret I cannot accept as my duty at the Theatre will prevent it*.

Should my health permit which I regret to state is by no means good at Present I shall have much | Pleasure in composing a March for the m[embers] of the Society* and will take care that you shall have it in sufficient time.
